It is hard to believe that our fifth annual Equipped workshop is only about six months away. We will be hosting it again at the facilities of the Cumberland Trace church of Christ in beautiful Bowling Green, Kentucky. At the heart of each workshop, we study a book or books of the Bible in a deep, concentrated way (2023 was James, 2024 was John, 2025 was Isaiah, and 2025 was Genesis). In addition, a host of topics and themes coming out of those books have been presented on practical, relevant daily challenges and needs for elders and church leaders, preachers, youth, young adults, college students, ladies, teachers, song leaders, and those wanting to dig deeper.
April 22-25, 2027, will be no different. The theme of that Equipped will be
1-2 Timothy & Titus: A MANUAL FOR CHRISTIAN LIVING
As we have done every year, there will be a bookstore featuring speakers’ books and other materials, several vendors representing a variety of church-related organizations and opportunities, food trucks on site, Bluegrass Beans coffee, several class options throughout the days, and an abundance of fellowship. The workshop draws men, women, and children from over 20 states. Every year, it is growing in number. We give God the glory for this and want it to continue to grow. Please make your plans to come and attend this transformational event! We start Thursday night and end Sunday night.
You can find the entire 2027 lineup on the Cumberland Trace church of Christ website. This year, one of our deacons, Michael King, has developed an app for the workshop. As of now, it is only available for Apple phones. It will provide access to audio and video for every single session since 2023, real-time updates, schedule, map, speaker bios, and many fully searchable features.
Registration is now open. There is no cost to attend, no charge for reserving space (though subject to approval) (contact Derek Depp to reserve space, dldepp@yahoo.com), and so much to do in the general area (within three hours of us are Nashville, Tennessee, Mammoth Cave National Park, The Creation Museum, The Ark Encounter, Cincinatti, Ohio, and Indianapolis, Indiana).
