Some Marks Of A Christ-Centered Life

Neal Pollard

  • Drives one regularly, even daily, into His Word.
  • Draws one constantly to the throne room of prayer.
  • Decides matters with a view toward what He wants.
  • Declines those things that put distance between Him and oneself.
  • Deplores the things that hurt His cause.
  • Defends His name, honor, reputation, and values in one’s relationships and interactions.
  • Depicts itself in one’s home and family life–measured by regular conversations that center around Him and His will.
  • Destroys sinful habits in oneself.
  • Defuses pettiness and selfishness that grows within oneself.
  • Distributes itself into conversations and relationships naturally, as a matter of course and life.

These are wonderful points.
I think Christ likeness is about emptying oneself of pride and arrogance of this world and becoming a person who adores the selflessness and people oriented mindset that Christ examplified.
Christ catered life, thinks more about what pleases God than self.
It gives away the pettiness of the world through Christian living which is about being transformed into the image of Christ.
